Aquatic Control System (Q-ACS), for controlling both freshwater and seawater environments. The Q-ACS systems are capable of independently controlling the parameters: pH/CO2, O2, temperature, salinity and turbidity in up to 4 water tanks. Tailored to specific aquarium/tank size and control parameters, the aquatic control systems have a wide range of applications in aquatic environmental research (acidification, etc.) & aquatic biology / ecology (marine biology, limnology, aquatic respirometry studies, etc.), aquaculture and algae cultivation. Q-ACS offers the flexibility to integrate additional sensors to monitor water parameters beyond those under active control. Available sensors include salinity, dissolved O2, temperature, pH, dissolved CO2, and turbidity; an exemplary set-up for a pH/CO2 control system is shown below (Fig.). Customisation options for the Q-ACS Aquatic Control Systems, to monitor and regulate other parameters or to automatically collect (water) samples for later analysis are available - please get in contact.

For determining the metabolic rate of aquatic animals, the Q-AQUA Aquatic Animal Respirometry System is available at intermittent flow and stop-flow configurations.
To control the composition of gas / air, see the Q-Control Chamber Control Systems for Oxygen, carbon dioxide, relative humidity and other gases.
